As a photographer, I am always looking through the lens to find the best light, pose, personality, etc. It is really nice to hang em' up for the winter and go to the Zoo with NO expectations, other than capturing my daughter and my nieces having the greatest time at the zoo. I didn't care if the backgound was washed out, bringing light on them was not even on my mind, I am not even really quite sure what aperture I was on while shooting...it was purely fun, sometimes you just have to not worry about the little things. 35th Senior of the Year = Done!

I want to thank all the brides, seniors, and families for an awesome 2009. Shooting 18 weddings (2 left this year), 35 seniors, and 10 families, it was a busy year for Schuldt Imagery. Many new items for the 2010 year will take affect: Indoor portrait sessions with tethered imagery on big screen for live viewing (for a shorter workflow), a second photographer, printed proof books, after-shoots, leather wedding books, larger prints sizes, client proofing, and a new more intuitive website. Looking forward to the 2010 year, I will be using a Canon 5D and 5D Mark II, A 7D, and a 30D. 2010 has 13 weddings booked (looking for 2 more!) I cannot wait for the new year to come...once again, thank you. Matt

My new toy: Mac

A few years ago I went with an old G4 Mac...then I went to an HP (big mistake)..then I got off my wallet...and got the STANDARD. I knew it...once you go Mac, you never go back. It's pretty nice....3.33 GHz (its fast),ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 (its clear and colorful), up to 4 TB of storage (lots of photos)...Lon story short... buy a Mac if your going into photography or videography...you will be very, very happy you did ;) Now I have to go work on some photos. Couples ask me if it's important to have an engagement session in their wedding photography package. I think that is so important that I include it in every package. These photographs and the experience associated with the session will prove invaluable before, during, and after the wedding.
During the engagement session I'll also gain a better insight of your personalities, expressions, and how the couple relates to one other. Posing for photographs so that you'll always be seen at your best is also part of the session. The session is designed to get to know the couple’s character and just plain having fun with your partner and your photographer…..Thanks DBP

It was 40' and time to start shooting for the season...A new camera, 2 new lenses, and 15 weddings booked this Summer, I still can fit in a family or two :) Oh yah, I forgot, I have 12 seniors booked already for 2009! Thanks for being so great guys, Matt

On Saturday night I got to experience something that I have never before...shooting Roller Derby! What a blast! Serious Fun, awesome atmosphere, and lots of entertainment! My assistant and I took to the game, match, bout, whatever you call it, and shot a few pics, here is one, there will be more on the way!
